While no design has been selected for the National Liberty Memorial, a conceptual design was excuted in 2005.
Elements of any future design will include figurative sculpture bounded by a green landscaped precinct and wall of relief sculpture and engravings.
The design will pull the surrounding landscape, including other memorials and historic buildings and events associated with them, into the precinct to embue the story of African Americans during the Revolutionary War with the shaping of ensuing history.
